no phone call today, good thing I had other things to do and didnt wait by my phone, my take is they wont call back at all.

spent the day working on computer stuff....got everything working again.

I spent today doing laundry at my parents. I then proceeded to forget all my shirts at their place... Shoot...

Ya I felt really dumb when I got home. At least it wasn't all my shirts and I still have plenty in my closet. And I'm going back home tomorrow since my nephew is coming out here to go out to a park with me. So I'll get them then. As long as I remember. >.>

cosy block your eyes. There is a badminton scandel at the Olympics, it seems some teams were throwing games for better postioning and so they wouldn'y have to play their countries other team. Punishment is coming.

Ya I saw that they were banned today. Good choice too. Very shameful of them to try to throw those games. Glad they got that as their punishment.

thinking of renaming the (state) dept of transportation (Xdot --with X being the initial of your state) to the department of thieves.....sister was telling me that the toll roads prices had increased, yeah ok, but 4x! what they had been !!! so may not be visiting her this year--- ( I remember the troll roads when I was going to school, $.95 per toll....now she says those are $3.60!)....oh my blinking---........and the roads are still in the same condition now as then....bunch of thieves!!!

and the price of gas went up by 30 cents in 2 days!! (sunday to tuesday)....sometimes I am sooo glad I dont have to leave my house.

Ya the Chicago toll road prices continue to jump. I finally found a way to get to my fiancee's parents without using toll roads. Thank goodness for that cause I would be paying like $10 in tolls to get there. Freaking ridiculous...

Gas jumped 20 cents earlier this week here. And I just saw a gas station that bumped the price up another 30 cents! I am seriously hoping that it was a mistake... Otherwise it is looking like gas is going to be close to $4 here... Talk about a real bunch of thieves...

yeah those are the first ones we should call theives.....got my electric bill today (thud).....past the 3 digit and moving to a different first digit! (and remember I have only 800+ sq')....guess it was a weeeee bit tooo hot here ....gotta start turning lights off (yeah save me a big whopin .10 for that).....got my a/c set at 80 already

Ya mine basically tripled last month thanks to the heat... And if I'm gone I turn EVERYTHING off (except like the fridge, micro, and stove). But with it being summer I'm home more often then not so ya... Hopefully this next one won't be as bad.

I'd almost give up on them by now cosy. Isn't worth waiting around all that time.

Need to call AT&T tomorrow and see if I can get my "introductory" rate back for my DSL. Been paying $24.95 for the past year and I really don't think that their crappy DSL is worth $48 a month... Just no way in heck is it a $48 month type of internet...

unfortunately I have to get in touch with this idiot--hate that people dont bother to return calls (and all they have is voicemail).
yeah have had a few different dsl providers in the last years---one I have now is small, but a good price (I can call and talk to one person--and he will even take my call at 3am ).

wish we could turn everything off--but just the a/c having to work hard to get back to temp when we are here would cost us plenty--not to mention all the computers would fry while we were gone (cant really turn off the server)....so 80 is the highest temp we can leave the condo at and not have computers melting....makes for some toasty days.

I paid $3.58 a gallon yesterday and my highest electric bill I have ever had was about $90.
Now my winter natural gas bill that's a whole different story.

Gas here just jumped 40 cents this week. Went from 3.35 to 3.75 here. It is 3.96 over by my parents... Why did it jump? I have no idea but I'm sure someone stepped on a bug over in the Middle East.

Ya I'm not looking forward to dealing with them. Hopefully they agree to it cause I really don't want to pay a lot of money for crappy internet. Especially since it is only 1 of 2 choices I have where I am at. Thus why I hate the stupid argument, get better internet! I can't dang it... No options for that out here.

Edit: Just got off the phone with AT&T. Was on it for about half an hour but as far as I know I will be paying $33 instead of $48 each month for the next year or whatever. I'll really believe it when I see the bill, but as far as I know, that is the track I'm on.

I understand your pain....when I last moved I had NO choices (there was no cable dsl at that time) and we live in the boooooonnies...so only a few companies existed, first company was nice, they went chptr 13 and stopped doing anything but business dsl, 2nd company kept raising prices (for a crappp connection and NO spam guarding--they just told us its OUR responsibilty to do that--after getting over 25k spamms-had to disconnect my computer as it was trying to download them all, 300 at a time---I went to their website and deleted over 200 pages of spamm!----slow download and even slower uploads for over $100 a month ...) ditched them (and they were total assssssses about that too)... last company--well the price is cheap, the dsl is fast, we have ONE employee to deal with--and the company has very few clients which is why they have only ONE employee helping people ....and wont get dsl thru the crapppppppy cable company--not if its the LAST place for it!--got enough problems with them to last me another lifetime, dont need to not have cable OR internet when it rains---

well the stupid company I left the vm for on monday FINALLY called me back--4pm on friday, gee thanks for finally getting back to me 5 days later---and seems they are not willing to handle our business (gee could have called me on tuesday to tell me that..) now a whole week has past and will have to wait until monday to contact someone else (doing this for my sister in florida).....oy and oy.

I wish that there was a company like that out here. Sadly there is not. Just a big company that likes to gouge you with their prices. The DSL isn't super slow, but it is definitely not like the cable broadband at my fiancee's and parents. Can't win them all I guess.

thanks, means MORE work for me....

and just so rr doesnt accuse me of watching tv----had some storms roll thru...and short power outages here and there...so havent spent much time on the computer today. (spent it napping instead ).

Got storms as well. Rained for probably 2 hours, which was sorely needed. So I'm glad we got the rain. Lost power for a bit but not very long. Say a couple of minutes. Read for a good portion of the day.
